Dreamers Blog
I believe in my dream to offer opportunities to young women to achieve their goals through the game of basketball. What started this dream? I looked at the opportunities that I had growing up and how fortunate I was to receive so much support from my family, coaches, teammates, and mentors. As my passion for the game grew, the more I realized that I could make an impact on many lives through the game of basketball. What motivates you to follow this dream? My motivation is knowing the possibilities of this organization and the impact it will have on the lives of our communities. Knowing there is a 10 year old girl out there who has the drive, desire and determination to achieve her goals and she could look at the Force players and be inspired by what they're achieving. What are your goals? My goals are to be the WBCBL (Women's Blue Chip Basketball League) Mid-West Regional Champion within five years and inspire our community to develop themselves in to the individuals we were destined to be. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I played basketball at Drake University where we were conference tournament champions in 2000, regular season champs in 2001, NCAA appearances in 2000, 2001, 2002, and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2002. Had the opportunity to coach boys and girls high school basketball, college basketball, and started a basketball academy in London, England. Currently working in the finance industry, while owning the Force and offering skill development sessions. I live with my wife and two sons age 4 and 2.
