Dreamers Blog
I believe in my dream to inspire the hearts and imaginations of others. So many people go through life never exploring the potential of themselves and the opportunities the world has to offer. It is my dream to help them realise, it is possible. What started this dream? Like many of my strongest and most admirable attributes, it was born from an intense dissatisfaction with how things were. My generation and the ones before me were told to abandon our dreams for the sake of a safe and secure job; we were taught to settle. Now, I watch as countless university students finish their degrees and then struggle for months on end just to get an entry level job while being crushed by debt and living at home. The old system is broken and is no longer relevant in today’s society. There are more options than ever before to achieve and live our dreams. The catch: you have to look for those options, you have to ask and you have to be willing to take action. I feel it is my duty to inspire people to do that. I want people to know that there is more to life than you have been told. We live in an abundant world, step up and join us. What motivates you to follow this dream? It is the same passion that started the dream that continues to motivate me today. The further I go on my own journey, the more intense that passion becomes as I see just how flexible the world can be. The only limits that exist are the ones we hold in our minds and that’s what I delve into in my book The Puppeteer. If people could simply let go of those beliefs that control them, they could live an extraordinary life. I love to ponder the potential of others. I love to imagine how spectacular the world would become if their thoughts and ideas were given life. Its exciting and it drives me. What are your goals? I try not to have too many goals at once - it confuses me. I prefer to devote most of my focus to a single goal and allow the other goals I have to align with it as I continue forward. So, the primary goal I have at the moment is to touch the lives of over one million people and inspire them. KISS. Keep it simple s... What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I’d like people to know that anything is possible and I truly believe that. I also have a bunch of other philosophical thoughts and musings that I recently started posting on my twitter (https://twitter.com/cory_bradbury). You can also find my at corybradbury.com and my book on kindle at geni.us/puppteer.

I believe in my dream to keep kids safe around vehicles and in parking lots and help prevent any injuries/deaths. What started this dream? After having my 3rd child, I was always really stressed out in parking lots. I had a new baby and my other boys were 2 and 4. I felt like a broken record telling my kids to "stay by the car and don't move" while I was loading the baby into the car. I knew that it only takes a second for a tragedy to occur. One day I had the idea of creating a magnet with a hand print on it, so kids would have a "visual" spot to stand. What motivates you to follow this dream? All the positive feedback I have gotten and the wonderful testimonials from parents. What are your goals? To get more retail distribution. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I would like everyone to be aware of how dangerous parking lots can be and if your driving in a parking lot, please go extra slow and do not allow yourself to be distracted. We can be found at www.parkingpalmagnet.com or on Amazon.com I believe in my dream to offer opportunities to young women to achieve their goals through the game of basketball. What started this dream? I looked at the opportunities that I had growing up and how fortunate I was to receive so much support from my family, coaches, teammates, and mentors. As my passion for the game grew, the more I realized that I could make an impact on many lives through the game of basketball. What motivates you to follow this dream? My motivation is knowing the possibilities of this organization and the impact it will have on the lives of our communities. Knowing there is a 10 year old girl out there who has the drive, desire and determination to achieve her goals and she could look at the Force players and be inspired by what they're achieving. What are your goals? My goals are to be the WBCBL (Women's Blue Chip Basketball League) Mid-West Regional Champion within five years and inspire our community to develop themselves in to the individuals we were destined to be. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I played basketball at Drake University where we were conference tournament champions in 2000, regular season champs in 2001, NCAA appearances in 2000, 2001, 2002, and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2002. Had the opportunity to coach boys and girls high school basketball, college basketball, and started a basketball academy in London, England. Currently working in the finance industry, while owning the Force and offering skill development sessions. I live with my wife and two sons age 4 and 2. Twitter handles are Mosley41 and IowaForceWBB Facebook: Iowa Force Women's Basketball Website: www.iowaforcewbb.com Email: [email protected] I believe in my dream to become a full-time freelance illustrator and to sell prints online. What started this dream? When I was a teenager I was in a band and we wanted a website, so I took it upon myself to learn to code and make a page for us. This lead me to designing Myspace pages for other bands and eventually posters and album artwork. I found I came up with other ideas and started making pieces for myself, and wanted to focus on artwork more than anything else. What motivates you to follow this dream? Seeing the success of friends and other creatives motivates me a lot. Encouraging others to do their best and helping in any way I can. Striving to move forward. What are your goals? Get steady work in editorial illustration for magazines, newspapers and blogs. Open an online shop to sell screen prints of my work. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? Don't get discouraged when things aren't happening as quickly as you'd like. Some things take time, just put in the work and be open to many opportunities. I believe in my dream to wake up one day heading a company that has been able to bring to market a life saving device such as Neuron Guard, placed in all public places. Neuron Guard is a medical startup based in Modena (Italy) that has the aim to re-imagine the care process of patients with brain injury from the site of the event to the hospital to offer the patient the best chances of survival. What started this dream? This dream started three years ago, while attending the Misa Master in Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy at SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan (Italy). I was pretty sure to finish my studies and started working within a consulting firm, instead in June of 2013 I participated in a “Startup MBA Program”, a program where startuppers submitted their idea to "speed up" but in need of team members to shape the entrepreneurial idea and accelerate it. So, I met Enrico Giuliani, founder of Neuron Guard and creator of the life-saving medical device aimed at early treatment of diseases such as acute brain damage directly on the site of the event. The program lasted three months and ended in September 2013 with the victory of an entrepreneurial training course in Silicon Valley. These two paths allowed me to acquire skills and awareness of wanting to change my life with something completely "disruptive" (as the Americans say) and can enrich me, but even before can save the lives of millions of people. I love to travel, I would never stop wandering around the world, and I associate my business experience exactly with one continuous trip around the Med-tech world – by now - to discover the value of introducing a revolutionize medical device. There is a great value at stake for our team and me but also for the medical and scientific societies. It is not by chance that our vision is to position a Neuron kit Guard in every public places as it has been done with the automatic defibrillator (AED), to save many lives, and permit early treatment already occurrence of the adverse event. What motivates you to follow this dream? The potential of saving many lives thanks to the adoption of our device in the medical community is exactly what motivates me the most. It is not an easy dream, I know, and for this reason we are establishing early collaboration with opinion-leading universities and medical centers (like the University of Cambridge). Also my family motivates me to follow this dream. When I was young, my father told me “If you have a dream, you have never stop to fight for it”. This is what I remind me when I feel a bit demotivated. I have to make my family proud of me. What are your goals? As cofounder of Neuron Guard I say that our goals is to sell our device to hospitals and emergency medicine, such as ambulances, fire fighters and first responders, but also army is a potential customer due to the increasing number of brain injuries in young soldiers. From a personal point of view, I think that it is the right time to make a global change, for women and for us all. Women have the power to change the world. In the report "The power of parity: How advancing women’s equality can add $12 trillion to global growth" published by in 2015, the McKinsey Global Institute estimated that the world could add $12 trillion to annual gross domestic product in 2025, that is 11% higher than it would be under the business-as-usual scenario. An additional $1.5 trillion to $2.0 trillion of annual spending on essential services is required in 2025 to realize the economic potential of women. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I would like people to know that we are developing a connected-intelligent platform composed by a cooling collar to deliver stable and controlled hypothermia at the head district directly on the site of the event. It is portable, flexible and connected to the control unit that collects all the data of the treatment and transmits them to the Emergency Response System. Differently from our competitors, we are the only one with a temperature management system that takes care of patients and empower bystanders to immediately react in case of emergency. I have wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I love bringing stories to life with my words, and I love seeing what words can do to other people. What motivates you to follow this dream? There are many things that motivate my writing. One is simply the joy of writing, and the joy it brings other people. I also love bringing characters to life and finding out where my stories will take them. What are your goals? My biggest goal is to walk through the isles of Barnes & Noble (my favorite store in the world) and see my book on the shelves. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I want people to know that they should follow their dreams, no matter what other people think. Do what makes YOU happy. If you want to follow me, here are some links: http://www.keystrokeblog.com http://www.facebook.com/keystrokeblog http://www.twitter.com/keystroke_blog I believe in my dream to make movies and content that not only entertains (although this is very valuable) but also inspires, informs, and moves people. Then I want to take that dream and figure out a way to make a living at it, so I can spend all my time on it. What started this dream? I always enjoyed just making fun movies, but when I got to college I realized that I could actually make this a realistic career. While in college, I co-shot a cultural documentary in Tanzania, that had a massive amount of reach and influence (much more than I imagined), and I believe that changed and confirmed the course of my life. What motivates you to follow this dream? While shooting the documentary in Tanzania, I experienced true adventure. We lived with tribes, danced, celebrated, and feasted with them. We explored the entire country. Then, after it was all over, it was just the beginning. We had a movie. It premiered at a theater with over 1,000 people at its first viewing, breaking all sorts of fire safety codes. Later on, Facebook even used part of it in an ad campaign. It was wildly successful for what it was. But what really mattered is what I realized in the process. I can share my experiences and perspectives with the world, and people actually want to see it and it inspires them to go after their own adventures. After the screening, hundreds of people signed up for similar trips offered by the university. These trips were with non-profits, and sold at cost for opportunities to experience something new and exciting in other countries, and perhaps learn and gain new perspectives in the process. I saw the avenue of influence that media creates, and because of that, I want to be one of those influencers in the world by sharing stories. What are your goals? I'm constantly re-evaluating my goals. It seems to change every year. My current goal is to continue developing my skills in cinematography and to learn the business, all while launching a career by making more content. My long-term goal is to be creating, in some form, for the rest of my life. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? I love the quote by Steve Jobs that says, "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." No dream is too big. Don't waste your time. Go after it. You can find me by searching for Paul Tackett on any social media site. Also my reel and portfolio is at www.paulztackett.com. Thank you for taking the time to hear what I have to say. Go after your goals, never give up on your dream, and make it a reality each day by taking little steps at a time. I believe in my dream to impress positive change upon the world by encouraging the pursuit of one dream at a time.
What started this dream? I have been wrapped up in wanting to positively impress upon the world my entire life. Since first grade I have wanted to be an author and while my genre of interest has changed over the years, I have been heavily interested in the motivational industry for well over 15 years now. When I discovered combat sports in 2010 I saw an opportunity to defy odds, break stereotypes, motivate, and inspire through my career and when it's all said and done I will begin writing about my journey. My message is "What's YOUR Possible?". I want the world to know that the ONLY person that can dictate what's possible or impossible in someone's life is that person alone. What motivates you to follow this dream? The world is bleeding right now. It needs more light. More empathy. If continuing the pursuit of my dreams and sharing my message and journey with the world will help even one person, then I would consider my purpose, so to speak, fulfilled. What are your goals? My goals are to continue to live and spread my "What's YOUR Possible" message through fighting, coaching, writing and my podcast. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? People can follow my journey on my blog at www.maureenriordonmma.com, my podcast: www.BabyFacePodcast.com and on social media at: Twitter: @babyfacemma Instagram: @babyfacemma Facebook: MaureenBabyFaceRiordon I believe in my dream to be a motion designer (a combo of graphic design and animation) for title sequences and/or book trailers. What started this dream? I took a class in my junior year of college on motion graphics which opened my eyes to this whole world of animation. Freshman year, when I was picking my major, I remember being really torn between animation and graphic design. They just seemed like polar opposite worlds at the time. I ended up picking Advertising & Graphic Design because it seemed like good mixture of all the art I liked. I didn’t know motion graphics existed, but when I took that class I just remember saying to myself, “this is what I want to do.” Since then I’ve been trying to make up all kinds of excuses to work in After Effects and constantly come up with animation ideas. As far as specifics of my title sequence dream comes from watching the opening credits to James Bond: Casino Royale [http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/casino-royale/] which I had just labeled “graphic design” when I first saw it. After that motion graphics class I realized what it was and that all these ideas from my teenage years were really just little motion graphics. It was one of the most prominent design pieces that inspired me to go into graphic design. On the other hand the book trailer dream comes from loving books and wanting to promote them. I feel that it’s a niche that has yet to be truly explored and I would like to work to make it marketing tool to push books in this fast paced social media world. What motivates you to follow this dream? There are so many motivations, but mostly people. Examples are inspiration from what others make and how they create. Inspiring others motivates me. I like creating for others and making others happy, excited, and joyful from that work. Family and friends are also great motivators. I find watching Youtubers that create inspirational videos always gets me going to work toward my dreams. I want to create pieces that make others happy and inspire them like people inspire me. What are your goals? My short term goals are to find a motion graphics or graphic design internship/job where I can grown my skills. As far as higher set goals I’m still narrowing them down, but I want pursue the book trailer and title sequence dreams. That probably means working at a larger agency or pitching to publishers, and maybe even starting my own company. The possibilities are endless so my real goal is to enjoy the journey and keep climbing mountains. What would you like people to know and where can we find you? Come join me on Twitter @Zonaefly!
